What is the warranty on products you sell?

LU Computers warrants its products against defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a specified duration of time beginning from the date of original purchase. All computer systems come with one year parts and labour warranty. LU Computers provide life time technical support to computer system buyers. LU Computers will either replace or repair the product at no charge for parts and labour. Please check details of each product for exact duration of the warranty for that product.

Why should I purchase a warranty extension?

An extended warranty ensures that you get the maximum value from your purchase. You sustain no additional cost per repair incident, no matter how many times you utilize your warranty. Just one repair performed out of warranty can cost several times more than the cost of an extended warranty.

What is your free warranty upgrade to 3 years on parts and labour?

All computer systems will automatically extend to 3 years parts and labour warranty as long as you buy Microsoft Windows Operating System with your computer system. Not only the Windows is legally, professionally installed to your computer but also utility drivers are properly set up for your system. You will get your Windows CD and license.

How do I claim my warranty service?

Some components carry manufacturer’s warranty, which you may also get from instant replacement directly. Please find their web links from the SUPPORT LINK page on this website. To obtain warranty service from LU Computers:

  1. Please email to support@lucomputers.com .
  2. Please provide us invoice or receipt number for proof of purchase.
  3. You must provide us information of the problem, and cooperate with our technician to diagnose and determine the nature of the problem.
  4. Prior to shipping back an item to LU Computers, you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from LU Computers.
  5. You must return the product to LU Computers warehouse within 14 calendar days of the issuance of the RMA and not overpass the warranty expiry date.
  6. Please follow LU Computers shipping instructions when return the item.

How to calculate the warranty time on an item replaced or repaired from a warranty service?

Any repaired or replaced product shall be warranted for the remaining time of the original period.

How do I claim an order discrepancy or shipping error?

Here are several procedures you must go through to claim an order discrepancy or error:

  1. Check your receipt or shipping slip against received content; call toll free 1-866-999-7828 to report discrepancy immediately.
  2. Due to the complexity of specifications of various computers, you are required to follow our telephone instructions to make diagnosis.
  3. If we cannot get immediate result from the diagnosis, you must report the results to LU Computers within 10 days.
  4. Prior to shipping back an item to LU Computers, you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from LU Computers.
  5. You must return the product to LU Computers warehouse within 14 calendar days of the issuance of the RMA.
  6. You must follow LU Computers shipping instructions when return the item.

Customer must cooperate with LU Computers to resolve any discrepancy claims in a timely manner without any delay. LU Computers will strictly not process any discrepancy claims after 30 days from its initial report.

LU Computers shall be responsible for all shipping costs for order discrepancy or error. You agree that LU Computers will NOT arrange a carrier to pick up the item from you. The customer obligates to pack the item properly and ship the item according to LU Computers shipping instruction.

How will you correct an order discrepancy or error?

Order discrepancy and Ship error will be serviced under warranty policy and does not constitute a refund. We will exchange the item with a correct item. You may request a prepaid advance shipping of the replacement, and our full refund including shipping will be made to you as soon as the return item has been received.

How do I claim my warranty for a notebook?

Notebooks are factory direct warranty. For any warranty services you must contact the manufacturer directly. Please check the warranty paper in the product package for contact information. Unless the manufacturer authorizes a product exchange through LU Computers, LU Computers will not accept any return, refund, exchange or any warranty requests.

What does your warranty not cover?

This warranty does not cover:

  1. installation or service of product;
  2. conditions resulting from consumer damage such as improper maintenance or misuse, abuse, accident or alteration;
  3. all plastic surfaces and all other exposed parts that are scratched or damaged due to normal use;
  4. products which have had the serial number removed or made illegible;
  5. (e) products rented to others.

Can I just send the computer to a local store for service?

LU Computers will not be liable and will not reimburse any third party costs or fees incurred by customer for any reason including but not limited to labour, delivery, diagnosis, technical support, product repair, product installation etc.
